Mendy graduated from Cardiff University, United Kingdom in 2014 and completed the BPTC with the same university. She chambered with the firm of Tay & Partners and was subsequently retained in the aviation & shipping practice group of Tay & Partners after she was called to the Malaysian Bar in December 2015.
Mendy joined MKP in January 2021 from Tay & Partners together with other lawyers in the aviation & shipping practice group.
As part of the firm’s aviation & shipping practice group under our Corporate and M&A Department, Mendy advises commercial airlines, financial institutions, lessors and credit support providers in lease and finance transactions as well as related regulatory matters. She also advises on debt financing transactions, finance and operating leases, sale and leaseback transactions, new and used aircraft acquisitions and corporate jet transactions. Mendy also has experience in shipping work, including advising shipowners, financiers and leasing companies on financing transactions, registrations, creation of securities, registration of mortgages and related securitisation and regulatory issues.
